Manicure Monday #2 Essie Urban Jungle

Manicure Monday

How a creamy white nail polish manicure made me realise that color is fun and simplicity might be chic but it is a bit boring.

Just to get one thing out in the open, this nail polish is not French-manicure white. It is a grey, creamy white pastel coloured dream. I don’t use the word dream lightly, especially not when I’ve just also called it boring in the introducing sentence.

Maybe I find it a tad boring because I’ve gone from this over-the-top manicure from last week to minimalistic nails, but the nail polish in itself is beautiful. It is easily applied, the brush is big enough to cover the entire nail and you only need two coats of EssieUrban Jungle to get a full coverage on your nails. Beautiful opacity and lasts 5-7 days without chipping.

Big bonus that it makes your hands look very tanned. And we ALL need some of that, don’t we?

If you can’t get your hands on this exact color ( I have had it for about 3 years), I have gathered some very similar shades from different brands that I recommend. Everything from budget friendly to the Rolls Royce of nail polish which I honestly do not thing you should chose, as the price is just honestly obnoxious and lets face it – we have enough of that in the world. I am all for luxurious treats, but mostly when it comes to lipsticks, handbags, soaps – ah to hell with it!

If you want an expensive luxurious treat for a nailpolish who am I to be your judge!

Similar polishes :

H&M Nailpolish

Smith & Cult Nail Lacquer – Sugarette

Essie – Blanc

Deborah Lippmann – Flesh for fantasy

Chanel Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour 711 – Pure White

I hope you like this shade and if you don’t, let your inner-child let loose and go for a multi-coloured look for your manicure. It sure did add a lot of playfulness to my days !
